The 10.0 Flushmount Air Cleaner is designed to drop into a suspended ceiling. It replaces either 1 - 2’ x 4’ tile or 2 - 2’ x 2’ tiles from the suspended ceiling. In order to install the PR10.0 flushmount easily the clearance above the suspended ceiling needs to be at least 13" and is recommended that the air cleaner is installed in areas that do not exceed a 13 foot ceiling height. The weight of the system does not rest on the ceiling grids but is secured above the suspended ceiling to a permanent structure such as a joist or beam. All filters on the 10.0 Flushmount are accessible from the louvered door and hinge door on the face of the system. 1 unit recommended for every 1000 square feet.
Our ceiling mount HEPA Filter Systems use a powerful variable speed blower to draw the air from smoke-filled areas. As the air is drawn through the high-efficiency filter media, 95% of the tobacco smoke particles are removed on each pass. The clean air that is constantly discharged into the area is refreshing and remarkably free of tobacco smoke and other contaminants. This is particularly beneficial in lounges and restaurants, because it reduces the need for segregated smoking areas. Practically all of the dust, dirt, pollen and other contaminant particles are removed from the air passing though the air cleaner. Even the microscopic airborne particles are trapped. "...The startling new study finds the air we breathe inside our cars is much worse than what’s right outside the window. ’’ In some cases, we found that pollution was as high as 10 times more inside the car than it was outside.’’ That’s Jerry Martin from the California Air Resources Board, who said tests found it’s especially awful behind big diesel trucks or behind buses because up to half the pollution inside your car comes from the vehicle directly in front. And it’s even bad without trucks or buses... Why? Because once pollution is sucked inside a car, it tends to stay there in that confined space building up. Commuters probably get their biggest hit of air pollution every day when they drive to and from work.
"For the study, researchers outfitted test cars with sensitive pollution measuring devices, and during commutes found high levels of diesel soot, carbon monoxide, and other unhealthy gases from exhaust. Surprisingly, in the test, closing windows didn’’t keep pollution out. Neither did closing air vents nor using air conditioning. It only helped filter out a little dust and soot. Otherwise pollution inside remained twice as bad. On average, what was outside, at the edge of the highway, was 3 to 10 times worse when measured away from highways. These levels of pollution can be dangerous because of many of the compounds that we measured are considered toxic air contaminants, which means they cause C or birth defects. The finding is consistent with what’s known about other indoor air. Inside houses studies find two to five times more pollution than outside. And air in planes can be hard on eyes and the sinuses because it’s thin and dry.
"How can you avoid pollution in your car? Researchers say the only way is something that is not always possible; stay out of heavy traffic and away from trucks or buses. The study found pollution 30% to 50% lighter in less congested carpool lanes or during non-rush hours. Professional Control Airborne Particulates
The IQAir® Cleanroom Series has been designed specifically for the removal of airborne particles. The systems feature the highest air delivery and longest filter life of any IQAir particle filter system. To allow for maximum air delivery the systems contain no gas phase filtration. The Cleanroom Series provides a choice of 2 models, each with a specific filter efficiency and air delivery profile. While healthcare facilities may require higher air delivery to achieve optimum control of microorganisms (e.g. in ICUs or TB isolation rooms), a cleanroom facility may need a filtration efficiency of 99.97% to meet strict manufacturing regulations or standards.
Positive and Negative Pressure Environments
Each IQAir® Cleanroom system can be used as a recirculation device or it can be combined with IQAir's ducting adapters InFlow W125 or OutFlow W125 to create positive and negative pressure environments. The creation of negative pressure helps to contain harmful particles, such as microorganisms, in a particular area (e.g. TB isolation).
The creation of positive pressure helps to protect clean areas from contaminants entering from adjacent rooms (e.g. protective isolation of immuno-compromised patients, controlled environments for medical device manufacturing).
Decentralised Airborne Infection Control in Health-Care Facilities
Airborne pathogens in health-care environments pose a particular risk to immunocompromised patients who may inhale fungal spores, bacteria and viruses. Airborne microorganisms can not only complicate recovery from surgery, but can also lead to life-threatening infections,costing health-care services hundreds of millions every year.
Hospital-acquired aspergillosis for example has been recognised increasingly as a cause of severe illness and high mortality in immunocompromised individuals, e.g. patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or organ or bone marrow transplants. In the light of the marked increase in nosocomial infections over recent years, many of which are caused by drug-resistant pathogens, the importance of using high-efficiency air filtration systems beyond the confines of so-called “critical areas” (such as operation theatres) has once again been emphasised. Both the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), advise that, wherever possible, preventive infection control measures should be implemented to reduce the risk of nosocomial infections.

Just like a professional gas mask, IQAir maximizes filter efficiency for different gases and odors by offering the right filter cartridge. And while gas and odor control is a particular strength of these systems, the GC Series also offers excellent filtration efficiency for particles.
Gas Cartridge Technology The IQAir GC VOC uses four reusable filter cartridges to hold up to 12 lbs. of gas phase media. The cylindrical shape of these cartridges allows for optimum contact between the air and gas phase media, which ensure high removal efficiencies. The large surface area of the cartridges enables high air flow rates. Since IQAir gas filter cartridges are reusable, replacing them is not only economical, but also environmentally friendly.
High-Efficiency Particulate Filtration The particulate filtration GC units complements the gaseous filtration process by removing over 97% of particles before they can reach the gas phase media. This increases the efficiency and life of the media by preventing its pores from clogging. The GC units' overall filtration efficiency for particles is 97% at .3 microns. Here’s How It Works...
Most indoor particles that are airborne tend to be positively charged. Negative ions will give some of the particles a negative charge. The positive and negative particles then combine with each other, become heavy and fall to the ground.
These irritants can cause various symptoms of discomfort and allergic response. Many of these are invisible and are present in small quantities. But, consider that the average person takes 20,000 breaths per day and spends 90% of his or her time indoors. Placing a SpringAir within the environment could mean breathing easier for the entire family.
Overall, the American Lung Association recommends that proven source control strategies be employed as a primary means of reducing exposure to pollutants. However, physical studies which do not measure health effects do show that certain air cleaners are effective in removing certain indoor air pollutants. Thus, as an adjunct to effective source control and adequate ventilation, highly efficient air cleaners can be useful in further reducing levels of certain indoor air pollutants. More research on the health benefits of air cleaners is needed to provide complete evidence that would better address the circumstances of intended use.
Based on the limited available data, we conclude that if allergen sources are present in a residence, air cleaning alone has not been proven effective at reducing airborne allergen-containing particles to levels at which no adverse effects are anticipated. Cats, for example, generally shed allergen at a much greater rate than air cleaners can effect removal. Dust mites excrete allergens in fecal particles in sequestered environments (i.e., within the carpet or the bedding). For individuals sensitive to dust mite allergen, the use of impermeable mattress coverings appears to be as effective as the use of a laminar flow air cleaning unit above the bed. Source control should always be the first choice for allergen control in residences. However, using the coverings in conjunction with an air cleaner may increase the effectiveness of the products as well as the comfort of the individual.
The reality in most residences is that total elimination of a pollutant source is not always possible or practical. Individuals with severe allergy and asthma symptoms, whose symptoms are not alleviated by other source control and ventilation strategies, may want to try an effective air cleaner in an attempt to aid in further exposure reduction. Although there is no proven health benefit from such a measure, some individuals report that they perceive air cleaners as useful in improving their health status.

How often should I replace the carbon filter in my air cleaner?
The activated carbon filter can be replaced when it is no longer effective in eliminating odors. The life of the carbon filter will depend on the concentration of odors and fumes in the air passing through the air purifier. Under normal operating conditions, the carbon filter should last for six months. NOTE: the carbon filter must be in place for the air cleaner to operate.

How to use Airfree air purifiers
The P2000 air sterilizers are designed to be placed on the floor, in a vertical position.
Do not place the sterilizer under or on furniture, behind curtains or blinds or on thick carpeting.
Always keep the air sterilizer on.
Recommended time for 90% microorganism reduction is 2 to 3 weeks. (Results may be noticed after 1 week)
Install 1 Airfree per each 450 or 550 sq. ft. area with a wall height of 8 ft.
For the best results, keep the sterilizer plugged in the same room.

What is ozone?
Normal oxygen is usually found in the air as O2, or a stable molecule of two oxygen atoms. When excited by ultraviolet light or electricity, oxygen can form ozone, or O3.
In the upper atmosphere, free-floating oxygen absorbs ultraviolet light from the sun to create ozone. In the lower atmosphere, ozone can also be formed naturally during lightning storms.
How does the Suraki GBA-200 create ozone?
There are two types of artificial ozone generators: UV light and Corona Discharge.
UV LIGHT ozone generators work by passing air over an ultraviolet light bulb, simulating ozone production in the upper atmosphere. UV light generators require the replacement of costly UV light bulbs.
CORONA DISCHARGE ozone generators work by passing air across an electric field. This method is generally considered to be more effective than the UV light method of ozone generation, and the parts more durable and reliable. The ozone production of corona discharge units usually exceeds that of UV light units.
The Suraki GBA-200 uses the corona discharge method of ozone production, allowing its compact size while remaining effective in areas up to 300 sq. ft. |
